Community Volunteering

Service to our Community

Many of us are involved in projects and programs that serve our wider community and those who are in need. These programs include volunteering at the Ballard Food Bank, serving meals to our neighbors once a month through Sunday Dinners at Ballard First Lutheran Church, collecting items for the drop-in community center at Aurora Commons and purchasing holiday gifts for those served by Mary’s Place. You are welcome to be a part of these volunteer opportunities.  Feel free to contact the church for more details.

*Sunday Night Dinners

NWCC has teamed up with St. Paul's UCC to provide hot meals on Sunday evenings to those who need it in the community at Ballard First Lutheran Church.  We will host the first Sunday of every month (plus an occasional other Sunday), alternating set up and clean up duties with St. Paul’s. (Due to COVID, we are no longer alternating duties with St. Paul’s, but alternating months.)

For more information or to volunteer, please contact Alea.

*Ballard Food Bank

The Ballard Food Bank is looking for volunteers to work afternoon shifts on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.  Drivers are also needed every day except Sundays.  For a volunteer application, please contact the church office.
